Cold shrink tube is a series of open-ended, tubular rubber sleeves, which are factory expanded and assembled onto a removable core. Cold shrink cable joints is supplied for field installation in this per-stretched condition. The core is removed after the tube has been positioned for installation over an in line connection, terminal lug, etc., allowing the tube to shrink and form a waterproof seal. Cold shrink cable joints is made of EPDM rubber, which contains no chlorides or sulphur. Various diameter sizes will cover a range of 1000 volt cables, copper and aluminum conductors.
Telsto Cold Shrink Splice Cover Kits are designed to be an easy-to-install, safe and fast method of covering splices on Spacer Cable. The tubes are open-ended rubber sleeves which are factory-expanded and assembled onto removable plastic cores. After the tube has been positioned for installation over an in-line splice, the core is removed, thus allowing the tube to shrink and seal the splice.
